Eyespy's Steelman

"Steel"

Since we love Kylie so much, we decided to add another dog from Eyespy Border Collies.  Between the time Kylie came to us and when Steel was born (February 2015) Anne had moved to Washington state, so at eight weeks old Steel hopped on a plane to Philadelphia.  Steel is a blue-eyed smoothie that adores his half-sister Kylie.

Steel and Rhyme could not be more different.  Steel is lean, efficient in his turns and his stride length allows him to cover a lot of ground quickly.  Having his official height measurement at 21″, he can be entered in 20 & 22 inch jump classes but his power and athleticism allows him to compete with ease in the 24 inch class across all venues.

Steel started his agility career in early 2017 and earned the qualifications to enter his first National event held in the fall of 2017.  Maureen and a few friends decided to put together a young dog team to compete at the 2017 USDAA Cynosport World Games held in TN to gain experience for later years.  The young dogs handled the pressure like pros and we look forward to attending more big events in the future.

In the Spring of 2018, Steel earned his USDAA Advanced Agility Dog title putting him in the Masters class and working towards his championship.

Steel also practices K9 fitness and demonstrates at seminars just how fun working with the equipment can be.
